Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the "Glasmarken-Lexikon.de" portal.

(1) Xtranet is obliged by all rules relating to effective privacy protection, and attaches great importance to the protection of personal data. Xtranet does not sell personal data to third parties. It is important to note that personal information, communication data and payment amounts will be electronically stored. The member agrees that his personal data, given at registration, can be stored, and used for the purpose of query processing, and for the running of the portal.

(2) When visiting the website, Xtranet's server temporarily records the following data: IP-Addresses of the requesting computer, date and time, details of the file that has been accessed, data regarding successful access, details of the browser and operating system used, internet address of the web page that referred the request to the accessed web page. As a general rule, each individual piece of access data is saved for 24 hours, and is used for the purposes of system security and attending to technical problems. Xtranet uses this data in a compressed form for statistical purposes. An inference on the person of the User and his visiting behaviours, when on the website, can on no account be formulated from the compression of this data.

(3) Personal data is only made available to third parties, when it is necessary for the payment of services engaged by the User. Moreover, the use of personal data is only possible with the explicit consent of the User. This consent can be withdrawn at any time by fax or by post (for communication data see point 4).

(4) Xtranet solely refers order information to the payment system provider, to whom Xtranet supplies interfaces, and through which the User is able to undertake payments for cost-based services, and not to the orderer. Depending on the payment system and payment method, these providers may store and process the User's personal data. These payment systems have their own applicable privacy policies, which the User should carefully read on the respective websites, before giving any personal information.

(5) If Xtranet retrieves personal data from a payment system, or it's credit institution, on confirmation of a payment, Xtranet will use this exclusively to process queries, refunds and problematic cases.

(6) When visiting the "Glasmarken-Lexikon.de" portal, files could be saved onto the User's computer. These files are called "Cookies". The purpose of these "Cookies" is, for example, to optimise the control of the dialogue during the User's visit to the Xtranet website. The User can usually influence the treatment of "Cookies" through the respective settings on his web browser. The User should generally be able to refuse "Cookies" through his web browser. Xtranet attaches great importance to it that the portal can still be used when "Cookies" are refused.
